Max has been making websites since the age of 10. His passion for pushing the boundaries of technology led him to pursue a degree at Ryerson’s New Media program. He has worked in some of Canada’s and the world’s leading digital agencies. After multiple award-winning sites and a lot of hard work, he launched Reflektor Digital. His innovative, front-end framework called Spooky allowed Max and his team to build interactive and animation-heavy sites and installations with ease. Max's technical approach and creative ideas position Reflektor as a company which doesn't conform to the norms and instead paves the way to new trends. Some of his clients include major brands and agencies such as Google, Facebook, Phillips, Honda, YouTube, Canon and United Nations. Max is a futuristic thinking visionary, but his favourite drink is an Old Fashioned.
Maria is a graduate of Trinity College, the University of Toronto where she studied Cinema, International Relations and English Literature. However, her love for creativity in different mediums of communication led her to continue her studies in front-end development, digital design and UI/UX. With over ten years in art school, she lends her unique vision to clients transforming their ideas into award-winning, visual-centric, digital stories. When she is not strategising or meeting new clients, her mission is to educate and empower young professionals, especially women, about the benefits of a career in technology. Maria has worked on award-winning sites and interactive experiences for TIFF, Visa, BMW, Jameson, Hersey’s, Acura and the National Film Board of Canada. She enjoys dry, vodka martinis, Leonard Cohen and she stays up way too late watching movies.
